Physical Education
Our Vision For Physical Education
Physical Education (PE) at Wensley Fold aims to develop the children’s fundamental movement skills through a broad range of physical activities and sports. The school’s curriculum and extra-curriculum activities aim to provide our children with sporting opportunities and experiences that they otherwise wouldn’t have accessed to. The school teaches the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle and promotes ‘Healthy Bodies, Hearts and Minds’. Staff and pupils are committed to our school motto ‘Make Each Day Count’ and the school values which are embedded throughout PE and sport in school.
The curriculum has been developed to ensure that our children have the opportunity to learn and develop their fundamental movement skills. Staff work alongside a progressive scheme of work (Lancashire Scheme of Work) which allows the children to build on their physical skills and then apply these to a wide range of sports and activities.
